Each of the articles of the law must be listed. If the article covers a very broad subject, it can be subdivided into sections, paragraphs or areas which are usually identified by a letter.

Technically, you can translate it as "stock item". Each of the objects in a stock destined for sale is called an article (in the Spanish language). Meaning, in this context, an article is a specific product intended for marketing.
