  • 1 small pineapple in pieces
  • 1 cup cubed apple small pieces
  • ½ cup dried chopped prunes
  • 1 cup of raisins
  • 1/2 cup of dates
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of panela powder
  • 1/2 cup of dehydrated peach
  • 3 star anise seeds
  • 1 cup of fig (dehydrated or fresh)
  • 1/2 cup rum

Step 1 : Cut all the fruit into pieces and then place the fruit, spices and cinnamon in a large pot, add the water and bring to a boil at high temperature.

Step 2 : Then reduce the heat to low and cover and simmer for 20 mins.

Step 3 : Add the sugar and panela powder to the mixture and then cover it again and simmer for another 20 mins.

Step 4 : Remove from the heat and let cool. Place all the fruit with a little bit of the juice from the pot into a blender machine, then blend until we get a homogeneous mixture.

Step 5 : Return the mixture that we have just blended to the pot along with the rest of the fruit juice that we had left. Then heat for 5 minutes before serving.

Step 6 : (Optional) Add a little bit of rum to each cup when serving if desired.
