You will receive your own private room, hot bathing water, purified drinking water, and three meals per day: breakfast, lunch and dinner for 6 days of the week*, and a marvelous chance to practices Spanish and build friendships with native antigüeños . Also if you are vegetarian do not worry because we adapt to you.. The families are situated in safe area near by Central Park of Antigua and close to the school. * On Sunday you are responsible for your meals, but this gives you a chance to try some of the many other types of food available from a multitude of restaurants and cafes.
We have extraordinary families with private and shared bathrooms, depending on your needs and prices, each student has his own bed to rest after an extraordinary day of Spanish classes, hiking in the colonial city and our wonderful talks with Guatemalan families.
These are things we highly recommend you bring when staying with a family: your own towel, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap and body lotion.
We recommend you to bring your own pencils, eraser, diccionary and notebooks.

When you visit the school for the first time, please go directly to the center located at "1a Calle Poniente # 10 Antigua Guatemala GT", a few steps from La Merced Church. We highly recommend using the Google map to guide you in locating our central office. We have an annex facilities that are only for receiving classes.

A recipe that is hundreds of years old, and part of the culinary tradition of Guatemala, a post-colonial heritage of Spanish cuisine. As time goes by, Guatemala has made its own, as part of its culinary tradition and with variations in its ingredients according to each family. This is a dessert that is now part of the menu of all typical food restaurant in Guatemala and is the favorite dessert during the Easter season.
Guatemala has many traditional dishes for the Easter Week season, ideal to enjoy with friends and family. “Curtido de Semana Santa” (Easter Week Curtido) is a very popular dish and well known dish of the Easter season in Guatemala and specially for the summer, for it is a very fresh dish. This delicious dish is very similar to Fiambre, but this does not include any meat.
During Holy Week, Guatemala has many traditional dishes for this season to enjoy with family and friends. El ‘Bacalao a La Vizcaína’ is perhaps the most traditional and popular dish of the Easter season in Guatemala. When the Lent season begins, you can easily find large quantities of dried cod (dehydrated) in salt at the supermarket.
